I work intuitively. I am expressionistic and individualistic in both my means and methods. My subject matter centers on elements of the natural physical environment within the context of movement, order, time, energy, rhythm and regeneration. I use wood, stone, and metals worked in combination.
I take two distinct paths in my work: the single statements and the series. The single statements are complete in themselves. A series usually has fixed parameters; the materials remain constant and the components become interrelated ongoing narratives, allowing me continual exploration of my subject. Whenever possible, notations and or drawings are made on location year round. Drawing is an integral part of my progression into the multi-dimensional context of sculpture
