Born in Stafford, England in 1944 and immigrated to Canada in 1946.
Early years were spent in father's wood carving shop and visiting other artists studios, including members of Group of Seven and contemporary artists.
1962 apprentice to Architectural Dept. of Toronto Transit Commission subway construction.
Produce large rendered perspective for presentation to commission of Castle Frank Station.
1965- 1968 Montreal, National Theatre School studied Stage Design with Arts Bursary. Collaborate on presentation drawings and illustrations for father's proposal of Peace Monument for Canada 1967. Work between terms as Designer/ Scenic Artist for local Rep. Theatres, the National Ballet, and Opera productions. Set Design selected for National Theatre School at World Theatre
Week Exhibit Expo 67.
1968 receive Citizens Award for work in theatre with Youth Community, St. Stephens, Montreal.
1969- 1972 design professionally for Summer Stock and Rep. Theatres across Canada and Experimental Theatre e.g. Passe Muraille- Toronto and give workshops in Stage Design. Become member of Designers Association of Canada ( A.D.C.)
1972 Project Louisbourg- Canada research and reproduce 16th to 18th Century artifacts, woodcarvings and castings ( foundry ). Oversee the replication and ornament of 18th Century Chapel in collaboration with Consultant: M.J. Palardy. In 1973 receive commendation for this work and Honorable Mention to Prime Minister Pierre E. Trudeau, who visited the site. Receive Honorary Membership to Les Compagnons de France (Master Carver). While in Louisbourg, give workshops and courses in carving and theatre, help found a craft organization for the Isle of Cape Breton and a touring Theatre Company.
1973- 1975 Paris, collaborate with current avant- garde artists and writers notably Jerome Savary, Copi and Arrabel in Theatre Canada collection.
1980- 1984 Group shows of sculpture and assemblages.
1981 First Solo show at Nancy Poole Gallery, Yorkville, Toronto, of sculptures and assemblages.
1984 Sculpted furniture exhibited at Canadian Contemporary Design Show - Virtu -Toronto.
1984- 1989 Montreal, Canada. Produce sculpture and mural works for Architectural consultants, design and execute sculptures for film productions, and participate in group shows including 1988
Canadian Contemporary Sculpture Show.
1989 West Coast of Canada, produce series of large abstract paintings, show in Vancouver,
Victoria, Seattle, and Los Angeles.
1993- 1997 , show in Toulouse and Region of Midi- Pyrenees with contemporary artists from Spain, France, and Italy of Art Brut influence. 1996 become member S.A.C.D. ( Society of Authors and Composers- Dramatique ) with creation of original soft sculptures and characters for performance art piece. Receive cultural grant to work as professional with regional semi- professional local and touring theatre companies. 1997 return to Canada exhibit in group shows in Toronto and as a member of Sculpture Society of Canada; participate in International Art Fair 2000,
2001- 2008 produce works on commission for private and corporate venues primarily mural and sculpture in mixed media/ art department in film industry and theatre set and costume design.
